These priorities are part of Plateau School District's 2020-21 Strategic Plan.
Priority #1 - FinancialWhy this is a priority: The District recognizes that finances and the business of operating an educational facility has many facets. The building and the people within are of utmost value to the community and stakeholders. A regular review of educational needs of students and addressing those needs in an ever-changing world are paramount to be competitive beyond our small community.
Priority #2 - Innovation/Whole StudentWhy this is a priority: The District has a strong desire to be agents of change wherein innovative learning opportunities abound. Creative learning that addresses academic standards and provides practice through real-life problem solving develops essential life skills.
Priority #4 - Culture/CollaborationWhy this is a priority: Culture and Collaboration was identified by the District as a need to bring unity and opportunity throughout the school, but also the community. As a small, remote, rural district, it is recognized that the school is the center of activity for events and families. Developing that culture through social, learning, and sporting events, allows for relationships to extend beyond the classroom and promotes a family atmosphere.
